This is one of the most basic amaretto cocktails. It's super easy to make, just two ingredients and even easier  to enjoy. A classic sour cocktail that has been popular for some time. One of the most requested off all the amaretto cocktail drinks.

A sour is a drink that contains a sweet and sour mix.

"Amaretto Sour" Recipe:
Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 ounces amaretto almond liqueur
  • 1 - 2 splashes of sweet and sour mix


Cocktail mixing instructions:
Pour the amaretto in a shaker half-filled with ice. 
Add a couple of splashes of the sweet and sour mix.
Shake until nice and cold.
Strain into an old-fashioned cocktail glass.
Finish with a garnish of a maraschino cherry and a slice of orange.

This is a classic cocktail, that goes back to the prohibition era, you know the roaring 20's.
Very easy to make just equal parts of the following two ingredients.
Just one of those timeless classic vintage cocktails that you have to try.
It's like tasting a bit of history.

French Connection Recipe
Ingredients
1 part Amaretto liqueur (disaronno amaretto)
1 part Cognac (Remy Martin Cognac, Hennessy, Courvoisier, etc.)

Mixing instructions:
Pour both spirits right in a old fashioned glass with ice.
Give the drink a quick stir, and serve.
